# Comet (COMET)

> Comet nodes is a protocol which generates sustainable yields for those who purchase virtual nodes. It is one of many nodes as a service protocols on AVAX, however it has innovative features such as allowing users to stake tokens in exchange for a temporary node.

A benefit of comet is that it pays its holders sustainable yields without taking tax on transfers like many other redistribution tokens.
Comet has an advanced dapp that users navigate through to interact with the protocol. In the future comet will implement its own MetaVerse where users can interact with hundreds of defi protocols within one platform. All fees from that platform will go towards paying node owners and maintaining yields.
Our vision for the CometVerse is an open platform owned by its users. To call it a game would be a generalization, as it’s purpose does not only appeal to gamers. In this platform, users will have virtual land which they can build on. Other players can then visit that land and interact with their creations .
This means defi protocols across various chains can implement their projects within our singular platform. We plan to provide a builder which allows for custom scripting along with prebuilt components, so all users(technical and non technical) can build on this platform.
