# The Void (VOID)

> VOID and CIRCLE are two ERC-20 tokens on Base that implement unique deflationary mechanisms to create increasing baseline floor prices over time.

Circle has a burning mechanism where a percentage of tokens get permanently removed from circulating supply with it's unique CCTP mechanism, gradually decreasing total supply.

VOID takes a different approach by burning 1% of its liquidity pool tokens every 12-48 hours. However, it keeps the ETH portion, removing only the VOID tokens from the pool. This decreases the sell-side liquidity while maintaining buy-side liquidity.

The two tokens are paired together in a liquidity pool, backing each other. As liquidity decreases from the burn mechanics, the pricing floors of both tokens increase proportionally over time.

CIRCLE is chaotic and random while VOID strives to fight against this entropic variables.

The purpose is to create the first symbiotic deflationary asset set up in this unique way.
