It was launched through Sanctum's liquid staking platform, and staking and MEV rewards accrue to the token, so its value in SOL grows over time. Because it is backed by a single-validator stake pool, hSOL depends on the performance of the Helius validator, and it can be used across Solana DeFi while the underlying SOL remains staked.
